Every August Lebanon High School welcomes new faces. Freshman come up and last years seniors leave. This year Lebanon has many new faces to feature. Many new teachers were welcomed into Jacket Nation.
From a sports perspective, these new faces are known as the rookies, the callups, and the vets (veterans).
To lead off the rookie lineup is Mrs. Callee Bennett. Mrs. Bennett is a 24-year-old English teacher, she was born and raised right here in Lebanon, Missouri. Her first job was at Normans Bridal and her ultimate dream job was to open a cat sanctuary. Mrs. Bennett attended Missouri State University and says that her goal for teaching is to, “Instill a sense of love for reading” into her students.
When she was asked about the transition she states that, “It was tough and it will continue to be tough this year, but I have good mentors and resources to help me.” Mrs. Bennett is excited to be a Yellow Jacket and Jacket Nation welcomes her.
