This years Lebanon High School softball team. Including three seniors, three juniors, six sophomores, and seven freshman.

As the Lebanon High School softball team looks to build off of the way they played last year. They have been dominating this year. With a record of 12-13. They go into district play and are looking to improve their record.

With a young team there can be some ups and downs yet. They always looked up and kept moving forward. With only 2 seniors. They were definitely a young team and they knew this.

“There weren’t very many upperclassmen on the team at all, the younger girls did a really good job of stepping up and playing at the varsity level,” said junior Nicole Truitt.

With districts right around the corner the team knows this is their last chance to end the season with a winning record, but they aren’t worried about that they are more looking at the district championship. This is the time of year when they need to play the best softball of the season. A district championship does not come easy.

“Practices have been more intense, we’ve been working on hitting and fielding a lot more to prepare for Waynesville which is who we play first,” said Truitt.

The softball knows the task at hand and they are ready. They know what they have to do to give themselves the best chance to win the championship. As they look back on the season they know they have nothing left to give and never gave up.
