Review on the Television Series Law and Order: S.V.U

Law and Order: S.V.U (special victims unit), is an American drama television series on NBC and USA Network. This series first aired on September 20, 1999, and has been running for 21 seasons making its title as the second-longest-running scripted primetime TV series in the US. I started watching this series when I was about ten years old and I fell in love with it.

I started watching all the episodes from the beginning and stayed caught up with every episode since then. Each episode has a different story without repeating something they have already done. The actors throughout the series are always the perfect fit for the characters they play and they make sure that they show it when they are acting.

The cases that the crew go through are solving crimes of rape victims in multiple different situations. That is one thing that really amazes me is that in 21 seasons they have never ran out of ideas for different crimes and they have never had a bad episode. The amount of drama between not only the victims and the cops but also cop against cop makes the show such a great one to watch. The main actors play their parts so perfectly that you forget that they are just acting for the show and it makes it feel like your watching a reality show.

After multiple years of watching this show I would recommend it to anyone who loves shows about crimes and solving cases. My whole family loves watching this show so much that if nothing else is on T.V we are willing to watch reruns because even though we have watched the episode before, to us it never gets old. Going on 21 seasons I can’t wait to see how much longer they will keep on going. No matter how many more seasons they add I will always be waiting and ready to watch every single episode that comes along.
